The agreement, in plain English.

Who you are agreeing with

Ferrow is made and sold by Ruzylo Holdings, based in the United States. "We" and "us" below mean Ruzylo Holdings; "you" means the person or organisation using Ferrow. Using Ferrow, or paying for it, means these terms apply.

What Ferrow is

A program that runs on your own computer. It keeps your notes as plain Markdown files in a folder you own, connects them to a language model you choose, and lets agents read and write that folder under rules you set. Every change an agent makes is logged and can be undone.

There are two editions, and the difference is whose model account pays the model:

• Private — you connect your own provider key, or a model running on your own machine. Whatever your provider charges you is between you and them.
• Managed — Ferrow calls the model for you and bills the usage through your subscription. You pay for what you use, itemised per call, and ferrow spendcap sets a hard limit that Ferrow does not spend past.

Your account, and your key

Buying on the website mints a key — it looks like ferrow_ followed by a long string — and that key is what switches a machine on. Keep it the way you would keep a password. Anyone holding it can use what you paid for, and on Managed can spend against your cap.

You are responsible for what happens under your key and your account. If you think either has got loose, write to support@ferrow.ai and we will replace the key.

Ferrow is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly create accounts for them.

Paying

• Cards are handled by Stripe. Checkout happens on Stripe's own pages. We never see your card number.
• Subscriptions renew monthly or yearly, on the date you started, until you cancel. ferrow unsubscribe cancels in one command, with no retention flow, and you keep the period you have already paid for.
• The trial is 3 days and Private only, because Managed spends real money on your behalf from the first call. Checkout collects a card and does not charge it during those three days; cancel inside them and nothing is charged at all.
• Lifetime is one payment for the software, with no renewal. It does not include Managed model usage, which is metered whenever you use it.
• Prepaid packs credit exactly their face value against Managed usage. They do not expire.
• Prices are in US dollars, and the amount Stripe shows you at checkout is the amount charged. If you need an invoice for your records, ask at support@ferrow.ai.

What you may do with it

While your plan is current, you may install and run Ferrow on the machines you use, personally or for your work, and use it on your own material and your clients'. You may read, inspect and modify the copy on your own disk — it ships as readable JavaScript and we are not going to pretend otherwise.

What you may not do

• Resell, sublicense or redistribute Ferrow itself, or share a key so that people who have not paid can use it as though they had.
• Remove or defeat the licensing and metering, or misreport usage on Managed.
• Use Ferrow to break the law, to attack systems you are not authorised to touch, or to produce material that harms people.
• Use Managed to resell model access as your own product.

If you do one of these, we may suspend the key. Where the breach is fixable and honest, we will say what it is and give you the chance to fix it first.

Your content stays yours

Your vault is a folder of files on your disk. We do not own it, we do not have a copy of it, and nothing in these terms gives us a licence to it. Ferrow makes no cloud copy of your notes and sends no telemetry. What each part of Ferrow does with data — including the parts that necessarily do touch a server, like billing and Managed — is set out per surface on /privacy.

Whatever a model gives back to you is yours to use as far as we are concerned. Your rights in it may also depend on the terms of the model provider you chose, which is between you and them.

Models, agents and other people's services

Ferrow routes work to language models. Models get things wrong, and agents act on what models say. Ferrow's answer to that is that every change is logged and revertible, that agents refuse work outside the scope their skill declares, and that silence on an approval is a denial rather than a yes — but none of that makes a model correct. Check anything that matters before you rely on it.

Ferrow also depends on services we do not run: your model provider, Stripe for payment, and Cloudflare for the website and the billing worker. Their availability is not something we can promise on their behalf.

Ferrow is pre-1.0, and this is what that means

It is sold as it is today, not as it is described on a roadmap. Features change, some get removed, and there are bugs we have not found. We do not promise it is fit for any particular purpose of yours, that it will be uninterrupted, or that it will never lose work — which is why the vault is plain files you can open in any editor, and why ferrow log exists.

To the extent the law allows it, our total liability for anything connected with Ferrow is limited to what you paid us for it in the twelve months before the problem, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Some places do not allow that limit, and where that is true, it does not apply to you.

Ending it

You can stop at any time: ferrow unsubscribe, or write to us. Your vault is yours and stays on your disk whatever happens to your plan — nothing we can do reaches into that folder.

We may end an account for a serious breach of section 5, or if we stop selling Ferrow. If we stop selling it, we will say so, and we will not keep billing a subscription for something we have withdrawn.

Changes, and the law

If we change these terms, the date at the bottom of this page changes with them, and a change that affects what you pay or what you may do will not be applied to a period you have already paid for.
